Is there a dress code for the event?

Yes! We encourage all attendees to dress in their best Derby attire. Think classy, elegant, and festive wide-brimmed hats, bowties, sundresses, seersucker suits, and anything that adds to the excitement of the day. There will also be a Best Dressed contest with fun prizes!

Are children allowed?

This is an adult-oriented event, so children are not permitted. We recommend that guests be at least 21 years old to enjoy the event.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Each guest will receive 2 drink vouchers for our famous Mint Juleps. All beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are included with your ticket, along with a large delicious menu featuring Southern favorites and light bites.

Can I place bets on the Kentucky Derby at the event?

There will be plenty of opportunities to place friendly bets among guests, including Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta, as well as a Lucky Long Shot. All money bet at the Autzen Derby Party will be a straight donation back to the Oregon Cheer Program. Guests will win raffle tickets to put towards high-end raffle prizes that will be awarded at the end of the night.

How does the horse auction work?

The auctioneer will start auctioning off all of the horses running in the 2025 Kentucky Derby, beginning with the horse with the lowest odds and ending with the highest odds. The money raised through the horse auction goes directly to the Oregon Cheer Program. The guest who buys the winning horse of the 2025 Kentucky Derby will receive:

• A glass horseshoe

• A rose petal shower

• The opportunity to take home the top raffle prize of their choice.
